The Girls Next Door
Saturday, April 25, 2026
at 7:00 PM
The simplest way to describe The Girls Next Door is to say their voices make undeniable magic together…..yet their sound is anything but simple. Hailing from Kansas City, Barbara Walker, Angie Larson and Jamie Gumm, of The Girls Next Door, bring a culmination of three solid solo voices that meld together to make the perfect female vocal blend. They deliver a style that’s a little bit country, a little bit rock n’ roll, with a whole lot of blood-rich harmony.
Despite officially forming as The Girls Next Door in recent years, their collective musical journies span over three decades. Having worked with industry greats such as Johnny Lee, Jimmy Fortune, Jim Ed Brown, and Jeannie Seely, they bring a wealth of expertise and talent to every performance.
Their live performances are characterized by a seamless blend of entertainment and humor, offering renditions of prominent country vocal ensembles of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Whether performing as a full band or delivering a captivating performance as a vocal trio with piano, The Girls Next Door consistently delivers an engaging and memorable musical experience.

Sonshine Road Brings Heartfelt Gospel Music to Higginsville’s Historic Davis Theatre
Get ready for an uplifting afternoon of faith-filled music as the award-winning gospel duo Sonshine Road joins country gospel vocalist Steve Bruno Samuels (also known as Bruno) —this promises to be a spirit-lifting event packed with soul-stirring harmonies, a few laughs, and timeless gospel songs that speak straight to the heart.
Sonshine Road is the husband-and-wife ministry duo of Kevin and Rachelle Nelson. They are passionately dedicated to spreading the “Good News” of Jesus Christ through music, reaching everyday people facing everyday problems. Their sound blends traditional country gospel, southern gospel, and Christian bluegrass, delivered with rich, heartfelt harmonies that have earned them multiple awards—including Favorite Country Gospel Duet at the Gospel Music Fan Fair, Bluegrass Artist of the Year from the ICGMA, and several CGMA honors for Duo of the Year and Entertainers of the Year.
Kevin and Rachelle have recorded in Nashville and released popular tracks such as “When Grandpa Sang How Great Thou Art” (a chart-topping favorite), “This Is Where Jesus Would Go,” “When I Didn’t Have A Prayer,” and their recent radio release “Rivers of Life.” Their music videos and live performances—available on YouTube and their website—showcase not only beautiful melodies but also raw, redemptive testimonies. Kevin openly shares his story of years spent in prison and how Rachelle’s love and faith transformed his life, making their music especially relatable and inspiring.
Steve Bruno Samuels, a talented country gospel singer, songwriter, actor, and voice-over artist with deep roots in the Branson-area music scene, will host and perform alongside Sonshine Road. The two ministries have shared stages before, and their combined talents guarantee an afternoon of encouragement, joy, and worship.
This is a love-offering event, so come as you are—bring family, friends, and an open heart. Whether you’re a longtime gospel fan or simply need some musical encouragement, Sonshine Road and Steve Bruno Samuels will fill the Grand Lady with hope and harmony.
